Custom Stone Dining Table & Kitchen Island, Caesarstone Brown Agate & Sensa Orinoco, Kenya

Bespoke stone furniture pieces designed and fabricated in-house by the Elegant Fittings workshop. Each piece begins as a raw slab and is transformed into a functional art object, precisely engineered, hand-finished. This project began with a kitchen island in Caesarstone Brown Agate, and grew into a custom dining table in Sensa Orinoco granite after the client requested a matching centerpiece for their dining room.

The client wanted furniture with genuine material permanence, pieces that could not be replicated in timber or metal, with the weight and presence that only stone can provide. Having seen the finished kitchen island, the client returned with a new brief: a dining table with a circular lazy susan centerpiece, built to the same standard of craftsmanship in a different stone character.

Custom stone furniture was engineered with concealed steel support structures and hand-finished stone tops, combining the raw beauty of natural stone with the precision of contemporary fabrication. The kitchen island was fabricated in Caesarstone Brown Agate, its banded, contoured pattern suited to the long, flat run of an island worktop. The dining table that followed was crafted in Sensa Orinoco granite, its wild gold, copper and white veining used to dramatic effect across a round tabletop with an integrated rotating centerpiece, set on a sculptural V-shaped stone base.
