Custom Dekton Kelya Curved Staircase Fabrication, Nairobi

A bespoke curved staircase designed and fabricated in Nairobi, Kenya by the Elegant Fittings workshop, using Dekton Kelya to bring the depth and drama of dark marble into a sweeping architectural form. Each tread was precisely cut to follow the staircase’s curve, paired with a glass balustrade for an open, light-filled finish.

The client wanted a statement staircase that would anchor the entrance space, with a dark, sophisticated material that could withstand daily foot traffic without losing its finish. The curved form needed a surface that could be fabricated to follow the radius cleanly, without visible seams or distortion in the veining.

The staircase was fabricated using individually cut Dekton Kelya treads, finished in matte, set against a curved glass balustrade. The result combines the depth of dark marble veining with the durability of an ultra-compact surface, giving the client a sweeping centerpiece staircase built to handle daily use.
