Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, Full Hotel Stone Programme

(detail page) Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 102-room boutique hotel on Peponi Road that celebrates Kenyan heritage through modern luxury. Elegant Fittings delivered a comprehensive stone programme across the property. Dekton Trilium clads the dramatic entrance columns and outdoor lounge walls, while Black Marquina and Crema Marfil marble create a high-contrast flooring pattern through the lobby and stairs, with a Black Marquina fireplace anchoring the lounge. The restaurant bar is the showpiece, with Caesarstone Moorland Fog 6064 forming the main counter surface and a backlit Caesarstone Blue Agate 8531 inlay running its full length, producing a luminous accent against Black Split Face marble slate cladding below. Guest rooms feature Moorland Fog 6064 minibar tops, and bathrooms are finished in Caesarstone Statuario Maximus 5031 vanities. Every surface was precision-fabricated and installed to meet Hilton’s global brand standards while honouring Kwetu’s distinctly Kenyan identity.

As the first Kenyan property in Hilton’s Curio Collection, Kwetu needed stone surfaces that could express a refined, culturally rooted identity while meeting the durability and quality standards of a global hospitality brand. The scope was extensive, from high-traffic lobby flooring and a statement restaurant bar to 102 guest bathrooms, requiring a partner capable of delivering consistent craftsmanship across multiple materials and application types on a single project timeline.

Elegant Fittings curated a seven-material palette tailored to each application. Dekton Trilium was chosen for exterior cladding due to its UV and weather resistance. Black Marquina and Crema Marfil marble delivered a timeless high-contrast lobby floor with integrated LED-lit stair treads. The restaurant bar combined Caesarstone Moorland Fog 6064 for its stain-resistant worktop with a backlit Caesarstone Blue Agate 8531 inlay, creating a luminous centrepiece unlike anything else in Nairobi’s hospitality scene. Guest room minibar surfaces in Moorland Fog and bathroom vanities in Statuario Maximus 5031 ensured a consistent thread of quality from public spaces to private rooms. Each piece was digitally templated and CNC-fabricated to deliver the flawless finishes Hilton’s standards demand.
