Custom Dekton Aura Spiral Staircase Fabrication, Thika

A bespoke spiral staircase designed and fabricated in Thika, Kenya by the Elegant Fittings workshop, using Dekton Aura to bring the elegance of Calacatta and Carrara marble veining into a sweeping curved form. Each tread was precisely cut to follow the staircase’s spiral, paired with a stainless steel and glass balustrade for a bright, open finish.

The client wanted a statement spiral staircase with the timeless look of white marble, finished in a way that would suit a bright, contemporary interior. The curved geometry required a surface that could be fabricated to follow a tight spiral radius cleanly, without visible seams or disrupted veining.

The staircase was fabricated using individually cut Dekton Aura treads, set against a curved glass balustrade with a stainless steel handrail. The result combines the realism of Calacatta and Carrara veining with the durability of an ultra-compact surface, giving the client a sweeping centerpiece staircase that holds its finish under daily use.
