Scalea Marble, answered

Where can I buy marble in Kenya?

Elegant Fittings supplies and fabricates Scalea by Cosentino, natural marble, granite and travertine, in Kenya and East Africa. Slabs can be viewed at our Ridgeways showroom in Nairobi, behind Ciata City Mall on Kiambu Road, or at our Diani showroom at Pioneer Mall.

Does marble need to be sealed?

Yes. Marble is porous and should be sealed periodically to maintain stain resistance, and acidic spills should be wiped promptly. If you want the look of stone with less upkeep, ask about Dekton or protected Sensa granite.

Is marble suitable for a kitchen worktop?

It can be, provided you accept that marble develops a patina with use. It etches with acids like lemon and wine and needs sealing. Many clients specify marble for islands, bathrooms and feature areas, and a harder surface for the main run.

What is the difference between marble and travertine?

Both are natural limestone-based stones. Marble is denser with pronounced veining and takes a high polish. Travertine has a softer, more textured character with natural pitting, often filled and honed. Scalea supplies both.

How much does marble cost in Kenya?

Price depends on the stone selected, thickness and finish, plus fabrication and installation for your specific project. Elegant Fittings quotes per project after a site measurement. Contact the Ridgeways showroom or order on WhatsApp for current pricing.
